Day 12 - With Us

“We need never shout across the spaces to an absent God. He is nearer than our own soul, closer than our most secret thoughts.”
A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God: The Human Thirst For The Divine
From beginning to end, God is with us. His desire has always been to be with His people. Yet we forget God is with us.
Let’s remember.
Many of us have grown up with beliefs of God as this far off God in the sky. Unreachable.
Yet the God of the Bible is with His people.
Subconsciously, I am ashamed to have God with me.
“Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female.”
Genesis 1:26-27
We are well familiar with the story of Adam and Eve. The apple. The way their eyes were opened to their nakedness. Their attempt to cover and hide. They were exposed and felt it. So they hid.
At times I try to hide my nakedness. In my heart, I run. Or I freeze and frantically find an animal skin to cover my naked heart.
But this is useless. I know this. So I remember His Word.
